Joaquin Phoenix has revealed

Joaquin Phoenix has revealed that he spoke with filmmaker Christopher Nolan about playing Joker which ultimately went to Heath Ledger. The 50-year-old actor - whose latest flick Joker: Folie À Deux could be streamed now - got candid about potentially playing the supervillain before he actually portrayed him. Joaquin recently appeared on Rick Rubin's Tetragrammaton podcast as he revealed that he spoke to the 54-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker Nolan about portraying Joker over a decade before. He said: That didn't… wasn't going to happen for a number of reasons. I wasn't ready then. 'That's one of those things sometimes where you go: "Why am I not doing this project? What is stopping me from doing this? Well it's not about me, there's something else. There's another person that's going to do something that's like, I can't imagine what it would be if we didn't have Heath Ledger‘s performance in that film."' Joaquin continued: 'I don't know whether Christopher Nolan was coming to me saying, "You are definitely the person."  'I can't remember the context of how we met. But I know that we met, and my feeling was, "I shouldn't do this." But maybe he also was like, "You're not the guy." I couldn't say.' Heath died in a New York City apartment on January 22, 2008, after accidentally overdosing following months of physical and mental exhaustion. The Dark Knight actor died aged 28 after taking a fatal cocktail of drugs, leaving behind his daughter, who was two years old at the time. Meanwhile Joker: Folie À Deux can now be streamed, just weeks after its theatrical release.  The movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, is now available to rent from home starting October 29, in an effort to recoup some of Warner Bros. investment into the film, as per Variety. The musical, which bombed at the box office, is 'poised to lose at least $150 million to $200 million in its theatrical run' according to the publication. It would need to gross about $450 million at the box office to break even — when factoring in the cut taken by theaters — though Warner Bros. sources claim the number is $375 million. A Warner Bros. spokesperson responded to the report, saying 'Any estimates suggested by anonymous "insiders" or "rival executives" are grossly wrong and continues a trend where rumor is reported as fact.' 'The film continues to play in theatrical release, included with this week's opening in China, and will continue to earn revenue throughout its home viewing and ancillary run.' So far, the musical about Batman's nemesis has grossed $51.5 million domestically and $165 million globally after two weeks of release. In comparison, the first Joker grossed $96.2 million domestically and $248.4 million globally after three days of release. The hotly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 billion dollar Oscar-winning film was considered a surefire hit for Warner Bros Pictures, yet ended up being slammed by critics and failed to ignite at the box office.  Joker: Folie À Deux has garnered the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history as the film bombed at the box office on opening night.  The psychological musical thriller — which has been criticized as 'bleak' and 'disappointing' — officially released in theaters on Friday, October 4. However, Joker: Folie À Deux has been given a D rating on CinemaScore — the lowest score for a comic book movie. Madame Web — which notably also flopped in theaters earlier this year and also received terrible reviews — holds a higher score with a C+. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds an audience score of 31% and a critic score of 32%. The sequel has been roundly criticized for being a musical and 'ignoring' the DC fanbase - with an agent familiar with director Todd Phillips' process telling Variety he 'wanted nothing to do with DC' during the making of the film, with DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran notably absent from the film's LA premiere afterparty last month.  A source said: 'If the first movie was about some down-on-his-luck, mentally ill guy in a downtrodden city, it makes maybe $150 [million] worldwide. Not a billion. People showed up because that guy was Joker.' In an apparent snub by Phillips, the opening sequence of the film does not include a DC Studios logo. A Warner spokesman added that a DC logo appears at the end of the Joker sequel, while Phillips declined to comment to the publication. Several frictions are said to have developed between Phillips, DC and Warner- with claims that Michael DeLuca, Chairperson of Warner Bros. Entertainment, and CEO Pamela Abdy seemed 'unwilling' to say no to Phillips due to his huge past successes. It is claimed Phillips would 'only' speak with DeLuca and Abdy rather than Gunn and Safran - who took control of DC two months before production began on Joker 2 in December 2022. Gunn and Safran did attend the first director's cut screening for the studio but Phillips fueled rift speculation when he told a reporter: 'With all due respect to them, this is kind of a Warner Bros. movie.' Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav also met with Phillips shortly after WarnerMedia and Discovery merged in April 2022 and was 'open to filming in Los Angeles if the director would make the sequel at a lower price point.' The studio wanted to film in London which would have cost around 20 per cent less. A source directly involved with the film recently shared: 'The one thing about genre stuff: If you don't listen and pay attention to what the fan expectations are, you're going to fail'; director Todd Phillips seen with Gaga and Phoenix at the LA premiere September 30 However, Phillips insisted on filming in LA with the budget remaining static. A Warner spokesman told the publication the studio 'supported the decision to film in Los Angeles'. A source directly involved with the film said: 'No one could get through to Todd. And the one thing about genre stuff: If you don't listen and pay attention to what the fan expectations are, you're going to fail. Insiders also claim studio bosses did not want to premiere the film at the Venice Film Festival, but Phillips pushed back - with a Warner spokesman saying the studio 'fully supported the decision to bring the film to Venice.  Along with Gaga and Phoenix, other stars that had appeared in the sequel include Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Zazie Beatz and Steve Coogan.  Christopher NolanJoaquin Phoenix my blog จัดดอกไม้หน้าเมรุ ราคาถูก

Do Greens and crossbenchers

Do Greens and crossbenchers who claim that transparency and integrity is at the heart of their reason for entering Parliament in the first place hear themselves? In the past few days they have mounted self-serving arguments against proposed electoral reforms that the major parties look set to come together to support. The reforms include caps for how much money wealthy individuals can donate, caps on the amount candidates can spend in individual electorates to prevent the equivalent of an arms race, and a $90million limit on what any party can spend at an election - actually less than the major parties currently spend. The proposed new laws also include lower disclosure thresholds for donations, thus increasing the transparency of who makes political donations in the first place. So the wealthy wont be able to hide behind anonymity while using their cash to influence election outcomes - and the extent to which they can use their wealth at all will be limited. The bill will further improve transparency by also increasing the speed and frequency that disclosures of donations need to be made. At present we have the absurd situation in which donations get made - but you only find out the details of who has given what to whom many months later, well after elections are won and lost. In other words, what is broadly being proposed will result in much greater transparency and far less big money being injected into campaigning by the wealthy. Teal Kylea Tink claimed the major parties were 'running scared' with the policy and warned the reform would 'not stop the rot'  Greens senate leader Larissa Waters (left) fired a warning shot - saying if it serves only the major parties 'it's a rort, not reform'. Teal independent ACT senator David Pocock (right) said: 'What seems to be happening is a major-party stitch-up' Anyone donating more than $1,000 to a political party, as opposed to $16,000 under the current rules, will need to disclose having done so. And how much they can donate will be capped. Yet the Greens and Teals have quickly condemned the proposed new laws, labeling them a 'stitch-up', 'outrageous' and 'a rort, not a reform'.  They have lost their collective minds after finding out that Labor's proposal just might secure the support of the opposition. I had to double check who was criticising what exactly before even starting to write this column. Because I had assumed - incorrectly - that these important transparency measures stamping out the influence of the wealthy must have been proposed by the virtue-signalling Greens or the corruption-fighting Teals, in a united crossbench effort to drag the major parties closer to accountability. More fool me. The bill, designed to clean up a rotten system, is being put forward by Labor and is opposed by a growing cabal of crossbenchers. It makes you wonder what they have to hide. Put simply, the Greens and Teals doth protest too much on this issue. Labor is thought to be trying to muscle out major political donors such as Clive Palmer Another potential target of the laws is businessman and Teal funder Simon Holmes à Court The Greens have taken massive donations in the past, contrary to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules (Greens leader Adam Bandt and Senator Mehreen Faruqi are pictured) The major parties have long complained about the influence the likes of Simon Holmes à Court wields behind the scenes amongst the Teals.  And we know the Greens have taken massive donations from the wealthy in the past, contrary to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules. Now that tangible change has been proposed, these bastions of virtue are running a mile from reforms that will curtail dark art of political donations. The Labor government isn't even seeking for these transparency rules to take effect immediately, by the way. It won't be some sort of quick-paced power play before the next election designed to catch the crossbench out. They are aiming for implementation by 2026, giving everyone enough time to absorb and understand the changes before preparing for them. Don't get me wrong, no deal has yet been done between Labor and the Coalition. I imagine the opposition want to go over the laws with a fine tooth comb. As they should - because it certainly isn't beyond Labor to include hidden one-party advantages in the proposed design which would create loopholes only the unions are capable of taking advantage of, therefore disadvantaging the Coalition electorally in the years to come. But short of such baked-in trickiness scuttling a deal to get these proposed laws implemented, the crossbench should offer their support, not cynical opposition, to what is being advocated for. They might even be able to offer something worthwhile that could be incorporated in the package. To not do so exposes their utter hypocrisy and blowhard false commentary about being in politics to 'clean things up'. Check out my website: ภาพพวงหรีดงานศพ

Humanity has been consuming

Humanity has been consuming wine for thousands of years, and while the effects of intoxication, headaches and other negative ailments resulting from heavy consumption are well chronicled, it's only in recent times that researchers have begun to identify the health benefits that moderate consumption offer. What is considered 'moderate' consumption? What passes as 'moderate' consumption varies by age and gender. For males, this is typically defined as up to two glasses per day, while for women and those above the age of sixty, it's up to one glass per day. In each case, these figures are based on a wine glass that holds five ounces and contains twelve percent alcohol contents. The reason for the disparity, is the general mass difference between males and females and their corresponding metabolic rates. Below is a list of health benefits that moderate red wine consumption can offer. Fights the debilitating effects of diabetes Research by the American Diabetes Association has shown that a reasonable quantity of red wine may reduce the blood sugar levels of diabetics for up to twenty four hours, helping to alleviate the risk of heart disease for those with type 2 diabetes. As well as this, studies have shown that those who drank red wine on a weekly basis, were 30% less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who never drank red wine. Scientific analysis has determined that the sharp spike in blood sugar levels upon food consumption is a primary reason behind inflammation, which can lead to the development of diabetes. Drinking red wine after a big meal can decrease blood sugar levels by upwards of 30%. Safeguards the body from neurodegenerative diseases The natural aging process is the leading cause of braincell degeneration. Research has indicated that the length of an individual's life is largely controlled by the strength of their diet. The potent polyphenols that exist in red wine have been shown to protect the brain from age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's Disease. Enhances bone density Studies out of Denmark have reported that the resveratrol present in red wine has the ability to increase bone density of vertebrae in the spine, for sufferers of metabolic illnesses. The resveratrol accomplishes this by activating the generation of crucial bone nutrients. This improved bone strength also helps to lessen the chances of developing crippling bone related illnesses like osteoporosis. Sensible consumption of red wine has been seen to be just as efficient as prescription drugs in combating continued bone degradation in female patients. Enhances lung function Research has indicated that resveratrol has the capacity to reduce or block the inflammation that is caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (CPOD). Pain and irritation is a major symptom of COPD and this due to presence of an excess quantity of large phagocytic cells known as macrophages. These cells produce irritation throughout the lungs and secrete glycoproteins called interleukins, which stimulate the creation of secondary cells that cause pulmonary degeneration. Scientists recently conducted an experiment on cigarette smokers and those who suffered from COPD. Through their analysis, they were able to conclude that resveratrol restricted the growth of interleukins by more than fifty percent. Other researchers have since come out and stated that resveratrol is so effective at reducing incendiary signals under lab conditions that it may form the basis of a groundbreaking new medication for COPD. US pop star Lady Gaga has

US pop star Lady Gaga has taken on a track known best to Aussies as the opening theme to the iconic comedy series Kath & Kim. The song, originally written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley for the 1964 stage musical The Roar Of The Greasepaint - The Smell Of The Crowd, is performed by Gaga for her film Joker: Folie à Deux. To most Australians, it is the bold and brassy version sung by Gina Riley, who also plays Kimberly Diane 'Kim' Craig (née Day) in the legendary comedy. Before being immortalised in to the fabric of Australian pop culture, thanks to Gina's  rendition, the song had been covered by the likes of Shirley Bassey in 1968 and Sammy Davis Jr in 1965. And now, the Born This Way hitmaker has taken a stab at the track - with the results markedly different to the brassy feel of the Kath & Kim version. Gaga's take, which also features on her new album Harlequin, is a much more  stripped back that builds to a crescendo thanks to rocking guitars. Speaking to Today Extra about the track, Kath & Kim star Peter Rowsthorn joked that he was 'constantly' hounded by the US pop star regarding the track. 'She's constantly calling me, so I know she's a big fan,' Pete, who play's Kim's on-again-off-again husband Brett in the series, said.  US pop star Lady Gaga has taken on a track known best to Aussies as the theme tune to the iconic comedy series Kath & Kim for her film Joker: Folie à Deux 'I said to Gaga, "If you want to do it, it's up to you. I'm the fifth banana in this thing".' Peter went on to mention that he did have a favourite between the two renditions. 'I believe the Gina Riley version, or the "Kim" version, is the better version.'  The Today Show posted a short clip featuring the Gaga's version over the Kath and Kim title sequence to Instagram and viewers were quick to issue their shock at the surprising cover version. 'Who cares about Shirley it's iconic because it's the Kath and Kim theme song,' they wrote. 'I cannot take Gaga seriously with this song hahahaha.'  Another did not hold back in their criticism of the Poke Face singer with: 'Totally sucks. Another flop of an album from Gaga. She'll probably ruin joker sequel too.'  The Born This Way hitmaker has taken a stab at the track and the results are markedly different to the brassy feel of the Kath & Kim version Read More Joaquin Phoenix encouraged Lady Gaga 'to sing poorly' in Joker sequel Kath & Kim, written and performed by Gina Riley and Jane Turner, ran on the ABC across three seasons from 2002 to 2005. The hit comedy also boasted a litany of high-profile guest stars including Kylie Minogue, Little Britain's Matt Lucas, Eric Bana, and cricket icon Shane Warne. Gaga, whose birth name is Stefani Germanotta, stars as Harley opposite Joaquin's Joker in the psychological thriller musical. However, the musical has received mixed reviews from critics, while fans took to social media to claim that the songstress is at risk of losing her acting career. Dressing up for Thanksgiving can be tricky because you want to strike a balance of style, comfort and practicality SPIRITED COLORS  Warm, earthy tones that mimic fall foliage are the best colors to wear on Turkey Day. Russell Crowe has argued that

Russell Crowe has argued that the rise of independent politicians are better representing the views of everyday Australians, unlike the two-party-dominated system in the United States.  The Oscar-winning actor made the claim in response to podcast host Joe Rogan  complaining that Americans were 'completely trapped in the two-party system'. 'We have the same sort of situation, but we have a very interesting thing that's happening in Australia at the moment, which is the rise of independents,' Crowe countered. 'The main parties have to deal with the fact those independents have to bring a non-party-line series of points to the argument. 'And it's working well. It's working for us. In that it's making both of the main parties re-examine who they are and what they stand for. Rogan mused 'we could use that here, for sure', highlighting how US politics is completely dominated by the Democrat and Republican parties. There are other parties, including the Green, Libertarian, and Reform parties, but these receive vanishingly few votes in comparison. Independent candidates can also stand and have been known to perform well on occasion.  The Oscar-winning actor (pictured ) made the observation in response to podcast host Joe Rogan who complained that Americans were 'completely trapped in the two-party system' Joe Rogan (pictured) is one of the most powerful media figures in the world  Civil rights opponent George Wallace ran a third-party campaign in the 1968 US election which saw him garner 10 million votes and take five southern states, while another disaffected Democrat, Strom Thurmond, in 1948 carried four southern states on a similarly racist platform but with only a million votes. The nephew of a president, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was poised to get on the ballot in dozens of states as an independent candidate before he pulled out and backed Republican Donald Trump.  He has now been appointed Health secretary in Trump's incoming cabinet.  Trump himself had previously belonged to the Reform Party. The former New York property developer had even considered running for president in the 2000 election under the banner of that movement - formed by former third-party presidential candidate Ross Perot, who won 19 per cent of the popular vote in 1992 but gained no electoral college votes. Perot was the most popular minority party candidate since former Republican president Teddy Roosevelt in 1912 ran as the Bull Moose Party candidate - carrying six states including California and coming second ahead of Republican William Taft. Australia has seen a rise in recent years of nominally independent politicians who have taken votes away from the two traditional parties of Labor and the Liberal-National coalition This situation is helped by a strong Green party who now have 12 senators and four members in the House of Representatives.  Zali Steggall (pictured) became the first 'teal' independent to achieve huge success when she ousted former prime minister Tony Abbott in his seat in Sydney's northern beaches at the 2019 election Meanwhile, independent candidates who run on strong climate platforms but are fiscally conservative have been labelled 'teal' candidates. This is because they have combined their 'green' views on climate with the traditional 'blue' approach of the centre-right Liberal Party on economics. Zali Steggall became the first teal independent to achieve huge success when she ousted former prime minister Tony Abbott in his seat in Sydney's northern beaches at the 2019 election. In similar fashion, Monique Ryan won the traditionally Liberal seat from former treasurer Josh Frydenberg at the 2022 election.  She was one of seven teals elected, swelling the lower house crossbench to 16, with this tally including the four Greens, three conservative independents and progressives Andrew Wilkie and Helen Haines. Crowe's three-hour conversation with Rogan, which was first aired in August, has recently resurfaced in teal social media adverts. They are being pushed by Melbourne philanthropist Simon Holmes à Court, who founded Climate 200, which has given campaign funding to some teal candidates. Not all the 12 independents elected in 2022 were teals, however.  Maverick independent Bob Katter has just celebrated 50 years in parliament (pictured: being congratulated by prime minister Anthony Albanese) Dai Lee, a former state Liberal candidate, defeated former Labor frontbencher and former NSW Labor premier Kristina Keneally in the south-west Sydney seat of Fowler. And, of course, maverick Bob Katter who has just celebrated 50 years in parliament, spending 20 years as a Queensland state MP before serving the past three decades in federal parliament as the MP for the regional far north Queensland electorate of Kennedy.  Among his many mad-hat policies over the years include a bid to teach school kids how to fire rifles and a desire to build a missile shield across northern Australia. The House of Representatives crossbench grew to 17 in late 2022 when Andrew Gee quit the Nationals in protest at its opposition to the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.  The Greens and independents make up 11 per cent of the 151-member lower house - the highest proportion of non major party MPs since Federation in 1901.  Joe Rogan my web-site; พวงหรีดงานศพ

There are certain materials

There are certain materials that we always fall back on for winter. Linen is swapped out for leather; silk skirts for thick corduroy trousers. But while we regularly see a smattering of suede on the high street by mid-October, this year, the fabric has reached full-on domination. It began in late summer with fringed suede jackets, the perfect layering piece to nail the boho trend à la Daisy Edgar-Jones. Then came suede trousers, as we all desperately sought out ways to keep our legs warm as the weather took a turn. Now, it's reached our accessories. On outfit-sharing platform LTK, there's been a 600% uptick in searches for suede bags in the last week alone. Anyone on Instagram will know within a minute of scrolling you'll come across another trendy influencer with a suede hobo chucked over their shoulder. The style du jour is a super soft tote big enough to chuck all your work gear in. One rule to remember? The slouchier, the better. Jigsaw's £195 version has a magnet closure across the top, which has the dual benefit of keeping your belongings safe and causing the accessory to crinkle in the middle, for an uber-effortless effect. But if you don't fancy lugging a huge tote to the bar, there are plenty of chic smaller suede offerings to opt for. Arket's AW24 collection includes a suede take on the practical half-moon crossbody, available in beige, black and a rich mocha. At a cheaper price point, River Island and Urban Outfitters have great faux suede options that are not only kinder on the purse strings, but require a bit less looking after than the famously delicate authentic stuff.  To help you shop the trend, we've chosen 13 of our favourite suede bags whatever your budget. From roomy shoppers to a Christmas party-worthy shoulder bag, we've got you covered. 13 of the best suede bags for AW24 £135, Anthropologie £60, Joe Browns £360, Sézane £179, Arket £149, Mint Velvet £130, M&S £195, Jigsaw £23, Urban Outfitters £75, River Island £110, Cos £598, Reformation £49.99, Mango InstagramDaisy Edgar-Jones Here is my webpage ... จัดดอกไม้งานศพ
